A wee bit about Me!!
Based in Belfast, Chris McKenna is a photographer and director specialising in cinematic, story-driven imagery across film, music and creative industries.
With a background in film and television, Chris has worked across multiple roles within production, including within award-winning animation and VFX studios in Ireland. His experience extends to high-end international projects, contributing to VFX teams on productions such as Dune: Part Two and How to Train Your Dragon.
He has also assisted some of Ireland’s leading unit stills photographers, developing a strong understanding of working on set and capturing imagery that reflects the tone, scale and narrative of a production.
His photography is rooted in a cinematic approach, focusing on light, atmosphere and authenticity, bringing a filmic quality to everything from unit stills to artist portraits.
Alongside this, Chris directs and shoots his own work, his short film 'Scath', received recognition at film festivals worldwide, including a 'Best Short Film' win at the BIMFF in Brazil.
Based in Belfast and available across the UK, Europe and beyond.
